All Criminal Record Checks must come directly from the issuing authority to Autism Information Services B.C., addressed to the attention of RASP Assessor. Criminal Record Checks are not accepted when submitted directly by applicants.


RASP Members who Registered with ACT – Autism Community Training

If you registered as a member of the RASP through ACT, your information was automatically transferred to Autism Information Services B.C. You do not need to take any action to renew your status unless you have received a renewal notification from ACT or Autism Information Services.


Canadian Residents

Criminal record checks take at least 10 days to complete and will be sent directly to Autism Information Services B.C.


Behaviour Analysts/Consultants: Steps to applying for a Criminal Record Check

Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists: Steps for Sharing a Criminal Record Check

If you are a member of a professional college, you can share Criminal Record Checks with Autism Information Services B.C. for free.

Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists applying to the RASP or renewing their RASP status can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Online Web Form

If your criminal record check with your professional college expired, please renew with the college and share the results through the eCRC system with Autism Information Services B.C., or apply for a new criminal record check using the instructions outlined for Behaviour Analysts/Consultants

U.S. Residents

RASP applicants who are U.S. residents should go to the Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State for information on how to get a criminal record check. Background checks must be sent directly to Autism Information Services B.C. Criminal Record Checks must arrive sealed, directly from the issuing authority.

The process for Criminal Record Checks varies internationally. Please contact us directly in this case.


Renewals

Autism Information Services B.C. sends out reminder letters to individuals whose RASP renewal date is upcoming, requesting them to resubmit a Criminal Record Check, if necessary. If we do not receive a Criminal Record Check by the deadline provided, we must remove the professional from the RASP List. The Autism Funding Branch will not compensate professionals for their work during periods that they are not on the RASP.
